Coronation Street 's Steve McDonald will lose his temper with Jacob Hay next week after his daughter Amy Barlow ends up in hospital.
New ITV spoilers reveal that Steve will physically attack Jacob when he finds out that he's dating his teenage daughter.
It all begins on Valentine's Day when Jacob approaches Amy, Asha and Summer and suggest that they go clubbing in town after the Valentine’s Dance.
Amy, Asha, Summer and Aadi meet up with Jacob outside a club, but once inside, Amy becomes increasingly woozy and suddenly collapses as Jacob yells at Asha, Aadi and Summer to call an ambulance.
While Asha calls an ambulance, Jacob puts Amy in the recovery position - potentially saving her life.
Later on in the hospital, Steve and Tracy are in bits as they stare in shock at Amy’s seemingly lifeless body.
Asha and Aadi approach Steve in the hospital as he asserts that if Jacob’s responsible for Amy’s condition, he’ll make sure hers is the last life he ever destroys.
However, Jacob says he is innocent and reckons someone spiked Amy’s drink before she even got to the club.
Steve then reveals to Asha and Aadi that Amy’s blood tests show she’s taken GHB - and he's convinced that Jacob spiked Amy’s drink, but he tells Steve they're actually an item.
Good news follows a few days later as on Wednesday the nurse tells Steve and Tracy that Amy should make a full recovery and that whoever put her in the recovery position, saved her life.
Asha reveals it was Jacob as he tries again to assure Steve that he didn’t spike Amy’s drink.
However, Steve orders him to stay away from Amy in the future whilst Amy is question by police.
All of sudden there’s a commotion in the corridor and Tracy and Amy dash out of her hospital room just in time to see Steve punching Jacob.
Will Amy fall out with Steve when she realises what he's done? Or will she decide that it's not worth dating a guy who her dad dislikes?
