Coronation Street star Vicky Entwhistle has stoked speculation of a potential feud with her former ITV soap co-star Sue Cleaver amid her I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here stint.
The actress is best known for playing Janice Battersby on the cobbles, who she played opposite Sue’s character Eileen Grimshaw, but appeared to make a subtle dig at her fellow soap star on Sunday.
Corrie legend Sue was seen entering the jungle last night as the new series of I'm A Celebrity kicked off to a spectacular start, with the reality show returning to Australia after two years in Wales.
However, Vicky, 54, took the time to share with her followers that she had no plans to watch the highly anticipated show, as she took to social media to comment on the first episode on Sunday night.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “Don't think I will watch I'm A Celeb this season, have a feeling it may become too toxic.”
When quizzed by a follower as to why, she added: “I don't like pack mentality. It's often cruel and unbearable to watch, so I will give it a miss.”
This comes after Sue shocked fans with her glam look on the show last night, with many saying they couldn't believe the actress is 59-years-old.
Introducing herself, sporting a stunning blue jumpsuit with her hair coiffed to perfection, Sue said: “I've been on Corrie for nearly 23 years, it's a long time, I'm very old. I'm 59.
“I need to challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone, so this is my year of doing new things.”
Viewers couldn't get over how good the star looked, with many taking to Twitter to compliment the mum-of-one.
One gushed "I love Sue! Also HOW is she 59?! She looks amazing."
Another wrote: "Sue looks great for 59,” as a third shared: "Sue looks f**king amazing for 59."
The much-loved actress is one of Corrie's biggest stars, however ahead of her jungle stint Sue said her biggest fear is people preferring Eileen to her.
“This is the scariest part for me,” she explained. “I am a very private person and I am putting myself out there, which is what I am most nervous about.
“Viewers are going to see a different person to the person they think I am! I am very different. That can be worrying.
“They might decide they don’t like me as much as Eileen!”
