Coronation Street's Toyah Battersby is set to get some surprise news about her former foster child Elsie this week.
She has recently got custody of Imran's son Alfie - who he had with Abi Webster after a one night stand. Toyah has been struggling with the revelation that Imran had been unfaithful to her and as a result of their falling out, she lost Elsie.
Toyah and Imran had been fostering Elsie, four, for a number of months now and were hoping to adopt her officially but when Toyah threw Imran out, their social worker Lou said Elsie needed to return to a children's home.
However, as viewers of the show know, things are much different for Toyah and Imran and they are seemingly stronger than ever.
The couple decided to get back together, are now married and have custody of baby boy Alfie, despite the fall out with Abi - who had custody of her son taking away when Imran lied about her still being on drugs.
Next week, as Toyah allows Abi to spend a whole day with Alfie, Lou gives her a call and she's given some big news about Elsie.
As they agree to have a meeting to discuss Elsie, fans of the soap will have to tune in next week to find out what Lou needs to tell Toyah about Elsie - will she be able to adopt her after all?
It comes just days before Abi and Imran are set to have a huge showdown as part of the ongoing storyline.
In a big week for Corrie, Weatherfield is spinning out of control as Abi, Kevin, Imran and Toyah's lives are all turned upside down ahead of a very dramatic week on the cobbles.
"The pigeons really do come home to roost for some of Corrie's best loved characters in this fantastic week of edge of your seat drama. Secrets unravel, truths hurt and lives well and truly turn upside down as the lengths Imran went to to take baby Alfie away from Abi are revealed. Whether your sympathies are with Abi, with Toyah or with Imran, this is not a week to be missed," MD of Continuing Drama & Head of ITV in the North, John Whiston, has said of the new scenes.
Will Abi get a chance to prove she didn't lie, or will Imran win?
