Coronation Street aired the moment Toyah Battersby was 'exposed', as her true actions during a recent car accident came to light.
In the days that have followed the death of her husband Imran Habeeb, who suffered a cardiac arrest following the crash, Toyah has battled with what went down.
A flashback sequence during Friday's episode appeared to confirm why the car crashed, and that Toyah played a part.
But it was still a little confusing with much needing to be addressed, as it wasn't made clear what exactly happened in the final seconds before the impact.
Imran had just confessed to Toyah that he lied in court about Abi Franklin, with her realising they risked losing custody of baby Alfie as a result, as well as little Elsie.
With everything else going on, Toyah grew upset and told her husband she hated him with her seeming to lose control.
Seconds later she crashed into a wall with the car not swerving, and the breaks not being applied, as if she drove straight into it without trying to miss it.
We were not shown what happened in the car, so it's not clear if Imran was aware of the wall ahead of them or if he tried to stop her.
But it seemed Toyah was so overwhelmed that she wasn't paying attention, otherwise she deliberately crashed the car.
On Monday night, Toyah continued to protest she had no memory of what went on in the car as the police took her in for questioning again.
This time they had fresh evidence that proved she didn't try to stop the car or miss the wall, with CCTV footage showing her slamming into the brickwork.
As the detective quizzed her on this, she began sobbing while insisting she would never have hurt Imran on purpose - while she also suggested she didn't know why she drove straight on.
Amid this, Imran's mother Saira returned to the soap for the first time in three years after learning of her son's death.
She was told by others, not Toyah, with her losing Imran just three years after the death of her daughter Rana.
Saira was keen to help Toyah with the funeral arrangements, initially trying to take control, while soon after speaking to Toyah she left again.
But while she was there, the grieving mother learned of Imran having a baby with Abi, and was desperate to know that him and Toyah were still happy and together at the time of his death.
It's not clear if she will be back on the soap soon, and how she will react if she learns Toyah seemingly played a part in Imran's death.
