Coronation Street spoilers reveal Stephen Reid is at risk of having his killer secret exposed next week.
Last month, the character murdered Leo Thompkins during a row, before he disposed of his belongings and his body.
Next week, Leo's dad Teddy comes snooping for answers when he fails to make contact with his son, weeks after his secret demise.
While Stephen appeared to feel guilty about his actions, he wasted no time in covering it all up and didn't try to get help.
Leo was meant to be moving to Canada with partner Jenny Connor, but his death left Stephen forced to create a lie about his mystery vanishing act.
Everyone now thinks that Leo fled without Jenny after having second thoughts, and that he is living in Canada without her.
A recent scene saw his dad Teddy enter the pub and blame Jenny for Leo leaving without saying goodbye to him, after their own row.
He was worried about Leo after he failed to contact him once he'd arrived in Canada - while fans know he was killed prior to this.
Stephen cruelly told Teddy that his son would be in contact with him as soon as he'd settled in, knowing this was never going to happen.
Now, new spoilers reveal Teddy returns after still having no contact with his son.
Before this, Jenny confides in Stephen that she’s not heard a thing from Leo since he apparently left, and she suspects he’s met someone else in Canada.
Stephen feigns sympathy, knowing full well he's the cause of her heartbreak.
But both Jenny and Stephen are left panicked for different reasons, when Teddy shares a worrying discovery with them.
He calls in at the Rovers and tells them that there’s no trace of Leo and it’s time to alert the police, worried about his son.
As Jenny fears for Leo, Stephen masks his anxiety as he realises his lies could finally be exposed.
