Coronation Street 's Ryan Connor will be in desperate need of medical attention next week, as he begins to feel unwell.
The character was recently the victim of a harrowing acid attack, which left him with serious burns on his face and body.
After undergoing two or more skin grafts, Ryan was allowed to leave the hospital and he has been staying with his aunt Carla Connor ever since.
But at a time where he feels isolated, Ryan has grown close to a newcomer called Crystal - or so he thinks.
Crystal actually cruelly rejected him behind his back, leading to Daisy Midgeley using a second phone to pretend to be her.
Wanting to keep Ryan's hopes up, about a gig in the summer and a possible romance, Daisy has been messaging him for weeks.
But next week this could lead to serious danger for Ryan, as he reaches out to her and no one else at a time where his life could be on the line.
Ryan begins to feel unwell and experiences sickness, while Carla is not at the flat at the time.
He has barely left the building since the attack, but is convinced to go for a walk with Daisy next week.
She also suggests a quick drink at the pub, but will he find the strength to go in there after the horrifying attack in the venue just weeks ago?
It would be a huge moment for the character, but with Daisy by his side there is every chance he can take the step forward.
That said, there's a setback with his health towards the end of the week that leaves him in serious danger.
Feeling increasingly unwell, Ryan begins to be sick and eventually tries to contact Crystal to alert her about his condition.
Unfortunately for him Crystal is in fact Daisy, but her second phone has been taken by her partner Daniel Osbourne.
Daniel gives it to Max Turner so that he can secretly inform him if he's having any trouble at the detention centre.
So Ryan's plea is unheard until Max comes across the message, but can he alert Daniel and Daisy in time and get Ryan help?
As Ryan grows desperately ill, he soon loses consciousness while alone.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
