Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan has spoken out about what it's like playing bunny boiler Lydia Chambers.
Mother-of-one Lydia arrived on the cobbles appearing sweet and innocent, but thongs soon took a nasty turn as it became clear she wasn't who she appeared to be.
Lydia is hellbent on getting revenge on Adam Barlow, whom she dated years ago, and she seems determined to ruin in his life - and maybe even kill him.
Monday's episode of the ITV soap saw the pair meet up in a shopping centre where Lydia finally revealed what happened between them at university, detailing Adam's infidelity as well as an abortion she was forced to seek out when she became pregnant.
Fuming, Adam told her that he had had enough of her games and tried to wrestle the phone out of her hand, but it smashed on the floor.
Lydia let rip at him over his treatment of her years ago and Adam was left feeling momentarily guilty - but when he told her she should tell Sarah the truth, Lydia grew angrier than ever and ended up pushing him over a ledge.
The scenes are no doubt very intense to film, and Rebecca has revealed the surprising way in which she calms herself in between takes.
Speaking to new! magazine, Rebecca explained: "Every little break I get, I put on my phone and watch a bit of Dawsons Creek and have it on in the background as I'm getting ready. It always chills me out for the next scene."
Asked if her jaw hit the floor when she first read the script for the storyline, 30-year-old Rebecca replied: "Definitely. At the start as you read it, you think, "Ok, Ok, she's getting her revenge", and that's fine.
"But when she carries on, you realise she's taking it a bit too far now," she continued.
Rebecca also revealed that Corrie fans will shout "Lydia" at her when she's out and about.
"It's weird as I'm used to the names of my past characters being called out, and I'm not so used to 'Lydia'," she said.
"It takes me a moment to remember that they're talking to me!"
