Corrie's Paul's health condition worsens as new sign confirms it's not related to crash

Coronation Street fan favourite Paul Foreman shows his health condition worsening as he exhibits scary symptoms next week on the ITV soap.

Paul (Peter Ash) was in a freak accident on the cobbles when Carla Connor (Alison King) ploughed into him on a motorbike while she was driving the Underworld van and had been, unbeknownst to her, drugged with LSD by evil Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce).

Paul was knocked off the bike, but managed to stand up and seemed in good health as he was taken to the Weatherfield hospital for check-ups.

The doctors then told Paul he was fine, however, the character has since developed symptoms indicating he could have done more damage than first anticipated.

ITV spoilers have now revealed that Paul continues to suffer the repercussions of the crash, as he has started to consider suing Carla for her actions.

The storyline continues next week, when Gemma confides in Paul that the wedding venue is demanding full payment up front or the whole thing’s off.

Dee-Dee, who has been helping Paul to mount a case against Carla, overhears him on the phone to the bank. When Paul reveals that there’s been no improvement in his hand, Dr Gaddas refers him to a neurologist.

In later scenes on the cobbles, Paul’s injuries remain a mystery as he cannot gain control over his hand.

Having taken a call from Dee-Dee asking for a witness statement, Carla’s husband Peter pays Paul a visit.

Peter decides to have a stern word with Paul, ordering him to back off and stop using Carla’s mental health problems for his own financial gain.

Paul assures him that’s not the case but Peter cruelly accuses him of faking his injuries.

The neurologist tells Paul that he’s sending him for further scans but the problems he’s experiencing are unlikely to have been caused by the accident.

Paul’s shocked as Dee-Dee confirms that if that’s the case he won’t be entitled to compensation.

Corrie fans at home were deeply worried after noticing a sudden decline in his health following the crash – with some thinking he may have an underlying nerve condition such as multiple sclerosis.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “What’s Paul got Parkinson's or MS?” as another echoed: “Ah! Why can't Billy and Paul be happy? Is he having MS symptoms??”

A third asked: “How can nobody notice that Paul's arm is giving him gyp?,” as another wrote: “Looks like Paul has nerve damage in his arm from the crash.”
