Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has sweetly shared a heartwarming message to his Emmerdale director dad Paul.
The young actor, 12, is a favourite among Corrie fans thanks to his portrayal of Sam Blakeman, and dad Paul Riordan is best known for directing - and starring in - several episodes of Emmerdale, as well as episodes of the Weatherfield based soap.
Jude is too young to have a social media account, so relied on his mum to post a message dedicated to his famous father on Instagram.
Alongside two images of the pair, Jude called his dad Paul “the best”.
“HFD to all, especially the best @paulrio27 #happyfathersday #thebest,” the caption read.
Fans of the young actor took to the comments to praise Jude for his sweet message.
“Have a lovely day with your Dad, Jude. Hope you've been spoiling him,” one commented.
Another wrote: “Great photos... Have a lovely day with your dad."
“Beautiful photos. Hope your dad has a great day,” one follower added.
Jude has won acclaim for his portrayal of grieving Sam, and viewers were in tears as the youngster dealt with the tragic loss of his mum Natasha, who was gunned down by Harvey Gaskell.
He even broke records in 2021 when he scooped the National Television Award for Best Newcomer, as he was the youngest actor ever to win in the ceremony's history.
His character has since been involved in dramatic storylines on the cobbles, including sending secret letters to his mum’s killer in prison.
The teenager is now set to become involved in a sweet relationship with Hope Stape, daughter of Corrie icon Fiz and killer John Stape.
Jude, who hails from St Helens in Merseyside, has been acting since the age of 5.
Dad Paul has also been a regular behind the camera, and worked on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks early on in his TV career, before landing directing gigs on Emmerdale, Casualty and Coronation Street.
