The Coronation Street battle between Imran and Abi for newborn baby Alfie is set to turn ugly on the ITV soap as the pair fight it out for custody.

The final episode of last week saw a determined Abi tell Kevin she would like to return to work so she can afford to buy things for newborn baby Alfie - only to be left stunned when she learned Imran plans to fight her for custody of their son.

Horrified at the prospect of losing the child, Abi met with her solicitor Elliot and told him she wants to apply for full custody of Alfie.
