Corrie's Harry Visinoni undergoes transformation one year after Seb's brutal murder

Corrie fans will hardly recognise Seb Franklin one year after his character was brutally murdered at the hands of Corey Brent and his gang.

Since leaving the world of soaps, actor Harry Visinoni has undergone an incredible transformation - and he now looks totally different.

The star shared a range of shirtless snaps to his Instagram account dressed in nothing but a pair of low-slung grey sweatpants, while showing off his bulging abs.

In true Seb style, his brunette tresses fell just above his shoulders - but that was the only similarity, as fans were stunned by his bold V-cut and toned shoulders.

He explained last year: “Super proud of what I’ve achieved in the last few months. Biggest thanks to my mate Adrien Parry @weightwarriornutrition for all the support, advice and inspiration he’s given me over the last 12 weeks.

"I’m down 12kg now and feeling stronger than ever. It just goes to show that with dedication and hard work, you can make big changes to your life in not much time at all.

"Looking forward to continuing this journey of getting better and stronger.

"I honestly can’t recommend Adrien @weightwarriornutritionhighly enough. If you want to make that change too, go give him a follow!"

The storyline that led to the death of Harry's character in Corrie, inspired by the real-life killing of Sophie Lancaster, saw Seb and girlfriend Nina badly beaten for Nina’s Goth look, leading to a long trial with explosive repercussions.

But what else has Harry been up to since quitting the cobbles?

Python in toilet

Harry was left terrified when he found a 4ft python on his toilet seat at home in Manchester.

The star took to his Instagram Stories to document the horrific incident, as he spotted the python appearing from behind the loo.

He told fans: “There is a snake. There is a f***ing snake right there!”

He explained: “I was just brushing my teeth and saw what looked like a snake head pop from behind the wall at the back of the toilet.

“I didn’t take it in at first and then looked again and realised what I had actually seen so I left the bathroom quickly and closed the door.”

He and girlfriend Ellie went back in and watched in horror as the snake “slithered onto the top of the toilet” - before eventually the RSPCA were called to remove the animal.

Animal rescuer Sonia Hulme told Heart of the incident: “I thought it was quite apt that this royal python was found on the throne – and as she is a female we thought it would be appropriate to call her Lulu.”

It is thought the snake belonged to the house’s previous owner, who passed away the month before, and she likely lived in the wall cavity in the bathroom.

Co-star girlfriend

Away from his acting career, Harry is in a dedicated relationship with his girlfriend Ellie - and the pair regularly pose for pictures together.

On their one year anniversary, the pair posed close together and gazed into each other’s eyes, with Harry rocking a white t-shirt and camel overcoat, matched with a pair of black skinny jeans and wooden pendant.

His hair was tucked up into a bun, while Ellie rocked a blue denim dress and wore her blonde tresses loose over her shoulders.

Harry captioned the adorable pic: "1 year" with a love heart emoji.

Ellie actually appeared in Coronation Street alongside Harry, as her hand was used instead of Abi actress Sally Carman’s while Seb was in hospital.

Ellie was 'distressed' at his final scenes (eyyya_visinoni/Instagram)

Covid rules at the time meant contact had to be between existing bubbles, so Ellie was recruited for the part of Abi’s hand double.

Harry said of the poignant moment: “It was quite funny, quite a good moment, they asked me to bring in my girlfriend to play Abi's hand. So in the scenes aired on Friday, this hand here, this is my girlfriend's hand.

“Very funny, it was really nice, she got to see what I do before I left. She features in my last ever scene on the Street. It is big stuff.”

He added that Ellie was “quite distressed” at seeing him in the make-up after the attack, looking bruised and bloody.

Soap return

Harry later made a return (ITV)

It’s rare for an actor to return to a soap once their character has been killed off, but that’s exactly what Harry did.

While the attack scenes were originally filmed as a flashback, he and Nina star Mollie Gallagher later reunited to film the fleshed out version of the scenes.

The original scenes had been socially distanced due to Covid-19 guidelines, but relaxed rules meant the actors could bubble together to film.

Speaking about his return, Harry explained: “The viewer thinks they know what happened and who they believe.”

“But the audience needs to see exactly what happened to know if justice is done in the courtroom. That is what gives it the drama.

“Thanks to these scenes the audience has the advantage of knowing the complete truth and knowing exactly who needs to be brought to justice.”

Award wins

After his final scenes as Seb, Harry reunited with his Corrie co-stars for a night of entertainment at the National Television Awards 2021.

And Corrie walked away with a huge array of gongs - with the programme itself winning Best Serial Drama, and Harry’s on-screen girlfriend Mollie scooping the gong for Best Serial Drama Performance.

Abi actress Sally Carman was also nominated for Best Serial Drama Performance.

Jude Riordan, who plays Sam Blakeman on the cobbles, took away the trophy for Best Newcomer.

In adorable snaps, Harry could be seen sandwiched between Mollie and Sally, wearing a grey suit with a white shirt, worn open at the collar.

Mollie, meanwhile, looked stunning in a ruffled burgundy gown draped in black lace, carrying a black leather clutch in the shape of a love heart and with her brunette tresses tied back with an elegant black ribbon.

Sally looked worlds away from her cobbles character in a scarlet floor-length frock with her hair worn in loose ringlets around her face - and all three beamed at the camera.

Harry wrote on Instagram: “Couldn’t be prouder of the team that I’ve had the privilege to be a part of..

“What a way to see out my time at Corrie.”
