Coronation Street airs panic for Fiz Brown and Tyrone Dobbs next week, as they are targeted.
They fear a character has returned and is taking revenge, after Fiz dumped her partner Phill Whittaker on their wedding day earlier this year.
Things ended badly for the couple when he learned she had ditched him for her cheating ex Tyrone, but he soon left and agreed to annul their marriage.
Now, and given Phill's history, the couple fear he's out to get them after learning all about the release of a book, which is about Fiz's serial killer ex John Stape.
Fans may remember Phill was gathering information about John and Fiz's past, hoping to write a book about what happened.
So it's no wonder she and Tyrone immediately suspect Phill is back and is going ahead with the book, knowing full well it's against Fiz and her daughter Hope's wishes.
As the first extract appears in the paper next week, spoilers reveal the couple are horrified and try to hide it from Hope.
Fiz suggests to Tyrone that they call the journalist who worked on the book with Phill and set up a meeting with him.
Soon, the second extract is published so Fiz seeks help from lawyer Adam Barlow, hoping to take action.
It isn't long before it all gets out and Hope is teased at school about her killer dad - but is the real culprit behind the book closer to home?
It seems so, as towards the end of the week it emerges Hope is unintentionally involved.
Adam soon tells Fiz that he’s managed to put a halt to any more articles in the Gazette, but that it might not be possible to stop the publication of the book altogether.
It appears the journalist involved might not have spoken to Phill after all, and may have tricked Hope into revealing all about her father.
A spoiler reveals that Adam tells Fiz and Tyrone there’s a chance they may be able to take out a privacy injunction against the journalist, with it said they duped Hope into giving information.
So will they be able to stop the book being released, and is there more to the story?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
