Coronation Street's Carla Connor is determined to get pal Sarah Platt to see through evil Lydia Chambers' lies next week on the ITV soap.
After weeks of Lydia setting up ex Adam Barlow with a fake affair, in order to destroy his marriage to Sarah, things take a worrying turn.
Lydia set out to destroy his life, and it seems it will soon be revealed what went on in their past - leading to a devastating and deadly plunge for Adam that leaves him fighting for his life.
In the fallout, Sarah will be torn over recent events but it is clear she still doesn't believe Adam is innocent.
She decides not to see him even after his life is in peril, as she decides he's no longer her problem.
Carla is stunned by her words, and tries to get Sarah to be with Adam by his side when he wakes up.
While it is obvious to both Carla and Peter that Sarah still loves him, will she finally realise the truth and accept Adam wasn't cheating on her?
Either way it's also not clear if she will follow advice and be there for her husband as he wakes from surgery.
Adam's fate and whether his sight can be saved after the accident is being kept under wraps, as doctors share worrying news with his loved ones.
Adam suffers a bleed behind the eye following the fall, with him needing an operation to save his sight.
It's this news that leads to Peter and Carla both speaking with Sarah to reveal what has happened.
As Peter is disheartened to hear Sarah say Adam is nothing to do with her, despite clear concern, he leaves it to Carla to have a word, after her recent advice to her friend and colleague.
Carla again has her say, but whether it will be enough remains to be seen.
In scenes prior to this, Carla tells Sarah that she isn't so sure Lydia can be trusted as she continues to claim Adam has been threatening her.
As Carla weighs up all of Lydia's recent claims, she encourages Sarah to think hard before cutting Adam out of her son Harry's lives for good.
