Coronation Street's Amy Barlow got spiked in horror scenes tonight - but fans have 'worked out' she wasn't the intended victim.
The teenager (Elle Mulvaney) collapsed in the nightclub in scenes airing during tonight's double bill of the ITV soap, but viewers of the show are convinced they've already worked out how the drug got into Amy's system.
The horror scenes will see Amy's drug dealer boyfriend Jacob (Jack James Ryan) accused of being responsible for it - but fans are sure they've worked out who did the spiking, and that Amy was never meant to be the one to drink it.
"So Max ordered some date rape drugs from someone (hence him asking about the parcel) he's spiked Daniel's drink to get revenge, but Amy accidently drank Daniel's drink #Corrie," one fan wrote.
A second added: "#corrie has Max spiked Daniels drink put it down then Amy drinks it up? Confused me," as a third penned: "Max spiked Daniels drink and Amy drank the wrong one #Corrie."
"Let me guess, Max has got the drugs that are the same type that David was drugged with. He spikes the drinks thinking Daniel will drink one and accidentally spikes Amy. #Corrie," a fourth shared.
A fifth wrote: "Has max spiked Daniel's drink? And did Amy just drink it? #Corrie."
Fans believe Max wanted to spike Daniel's drink with the same drug his dad David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) was drugged with in the horror scenes back in 2018, which he finally sat down with Max recently to give a frank account of the assault.
At the time, fans hailed the "powerful" and emotional scenes, with one writing: "Oh my... @JackPShepherd88 that touched my heart #Corrie", while another added: "So brave of David to tell Max his story. Nicely done @itvcorrie writers. #Corrie."
"Poor David having to recall the horror of his attack #Corrie," a third wrote, with a fourth sharing: "Wow, such a powerful scene between David and Max #corrie." A fifth said: "So proud of David Platt. He's come so far #corrie."
Max and Daniel haven't seen eye to eye for a long time and most recently, Max broke into Daniel's home and accidentally broke the final physical memory he has of his late wife Sinead.
