Coronation Street spoilers reveal new tensions for the Alahan family, as Aadi is injured during a clash with his dad Dev.
Aadi will fall and hit his head during a row with his father, leading to him storming out and claiming he is leaving for good - ahead of Kelly Neelan's exit from the show.
It comes amid a new storyline for the teenager and his new girlfriend Kelly, who have been trying to win a holiday by pretending to be engaged.
But new scenes will see the pair decide to get engaged for real, despite his dad and his sister Asha not being entirely onboard with the idea.
It all kicks off next week when Aadi and Kelly learn that because they’re under 18, the Gazette competition rules require written consent from their parents or guardians. Desperate to enter and bag the trip away, they need to get their loved ones on side - but the cat is out of the bag before they explain things.
Kelly's guardians Maria Connor and Gary Windass are not impressed when they see their engagement all over the paper. They agree with Dev that the pair are far too young to be getting married, and urge them to call off the engagement.
Soon, Dev makes it clear how he really feels as he brings up Kelly's background amid her ties to her dead father Rick Neelan's criminal life. Aadi is furious and the two row, leading to Dev grabbing his son only to knock him over, causing him to fall to the floor and hit his head. Telling Dev that he’s leaving for good, Aadi storms out and heads straight back to Kelly.
Asha begs Aadi not to cut Dev out of his life as he loves him, but Aadi believes enough is enough after constant rows between them. Aadi does give him the benefit of the doubt though, and he calls at the shop before handing Dev his mum’s engagement ring.
Dev is relieved to think the engagement is off, but have Aadi and Kelly got something else planned?
