Coronation Street airs the fallout to dramatic scenes on the ITV soap on Wednesday night, with Adam Barlow's fate to be confirmed.
The character was shoved off of a balcony by ex Lydia Chambers on Monday night, and in the next episode his family wait to find out if he will be okay.
Adam is at risk of losing his sight, his grandfather Ken Barlow and Uncle Daniel Osbourne will be told tonight.
Doctors confirm the character has a bleed behind his eye, sustained after the brutal fall from the upper floor of the shopping centre.
Adam needs to be rushed in for emergency surgery in an attempt to save his sight, but will he be okay?
Viewers will see the news air in the hour-long episode on Wednesday, with his family desperate for answers about what happened.
Daniel came across an injured Adam on the floor of the shopping centre after his fall, having heard the commotion shortly before.
While he didn't see Lydia, who snuck out of the area, he will be convinced she was to blame after finding out Adam had gone to meet her.
He and Ken grill Adam over the incident and how it happened, but Adam claims he can't remember anything.
He's soon taken down for his operation, but viewers will have to wait to see if he will recover and if his sight will be saved.
Meanwhile fans will find out what happens to Lydia in the fallout, as a row about their past led to the incident.
In the scenes Adam finally found out why she was after him and why she wanted revenge, having set him up with a fake affair and harassment claims.
Lydia let rip at him over his treatment of her years ago and Adam was left feeling momentarily guilty - but when he told her she should tell Sarah the truth, Lydia grew angrier than ever.
She confessed that he had cheated on her all the way through their romance, and when she herself fell pregnant with his baby he told her to get an abortion, which she did in secret.
Believing Adam had not changed she slapped him and shoved him, causing him to topple over the balcony and fall to the ground below.
So where did Lydia flee to, ahead of her exit, and will she be back to tell Sarah, Adam's wife, what really went on?
Sarah currently believes Adam cheated on her, and that Lydia was telling the truth, so when she finds out what happened to Adam she decides not to see him - but can she be convinced to be by Adam's side?
