Coronation Street’s Vicky Entwistle has said she is planning a tell-all book about her time in the ITV soap after she waved goodbye to the cobbles back in 2011.
The 53-year-old actress was a fan favourite during her 14-year stint as loudmouth factory worker Janice Battersby on the ITV soap, before her character headed off to travel the world with boyfriend Trevor Dean.
Vicky is now expected to reveal the show’s secrets, including the reasons behind her departure, and has even reached out to fellow former soap stars for input.
Vicky took to Twitter to publicly get in touch with her former co-stars Gaynor Faye and Denise Welch for memories of their time on the soap.
She wrote: "Thinking of writing my memoirs," before asking: “@RealDeniseWelch @MsGfaye Any moments I’ve missed will be greatly appreciated.”
This comes after Vicky said she’s reached her wits' end with acting after she completed a number of auditions for industry bosses, but then never received feedback from directors.
Sharing the news with her followers on Twitter, Vicky wrote: “Just had a few Zoom auditions. Half of me thinks I’m lucky.. the other half thinks.. any feedback cocky b******s!!"
She added: “It’s just cost me £80 in petrol. Most of the time they don’t even acknowledge you even turned up!! The respect has flown from this industry! I gonna retire!”
One fan told her in response: “You’re an absolutely phenomenal actress, they should be the lucky ones that you attended!! Please don’t retire xx.”
Vicky previously returned to screens after landing a role in the second series of Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge, playing mum-of-two Sandra Turner.
She tweeted her excitement about the part at the time, writing: "Such fun working on Series 2 with a top bunch of friendly & very talented folk!!!"
Since leaving Corrie, Vicky has also worked on the stage, starring as the Wicked Queen in Blackpool's 2011 adaptation of Snow White And The Seven Dwarves.
Then in 2013 she played the role of Madame Thenardier in Les Misérables on the West End.
After her stint on the West End, she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house along with Bruce Jones to compete in the twelfth series.
In 2017 she made an appearance as Frances Whittaker on the BBC popular daytime show Father Brown.
But the door was left open for Vicky to make a return to Corrie, as unlike many popular characters Janice Battersby's end didn't result in her being killed off.
However, Vicky revealed to fans that she no longer watches the ITV soap and said she would only start tuning in recently, after the surprise return of eco-warrior Spider Nugent.
