Coronation Street fans believe Lydia Chambers is hiding something huge, about her history with ex Adam Barlow on the ITV soap - and it could be linked to her young son.
The pair briefly dated, according to Adam, when they were at university together over a decade ago.
But Lydia hinted that there was much more to their relationship, and that they were more serious than Adam recalled.
She seemed appalled during Friday's episode when he suggested they weren't together for long, as if it didn't matter.
Lydia also majorly hinted something dark happened during or after their romance, as she talked of him "messing up her life".
She told him he "dismantled her piece by piece" and vowed to do the same to him, while telling his wife Sarah that "she was free" after splitting them up.
Lydia set up Adam and claimed they were having an affair for weeks to a shocked Sarah, leaving her devastated and kicking her hubby out.
Despite Adam protesting, Sarah was having none of it and during a later chat with Lydia, her colleague kept up the lie about the fling.
She then told Sarah: "Wouldn’t you rather know the truth... neither of us deserves a man who lies so easily and so much.
"Maybe in the long run I'm doing you a favour, I'm trying to make amends now... can't you see I am setting you free? This is a new beginning for you, you can go out and get any man now."
The scenes, and her talks of Adam ruining her life, left viewers predicting another twist was on the cards.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote of what she was talking about: "I assumed he was the dad of her son?"
Another viewer said: "So will Lydia’s invisible child turn out to be Adam’s?"
A third asked: "What could Adam of possibly done to f**k Lydia up so bad seriously? Unknowingly walked out on her pregnant? Exactly how old's her Son? Round Harry's age maybe?"
It comes after the soap promised a showdown for the characters, as things come to a head.
Lydia is set to ramp up her cleverly orchestrated campaign of revenge as she succeeds in turning his wife against him.
She then goes one step further and gets Adam arrested - something which has been hinted at in spoilers for next week’s scenes on the soap.
Corrie producer Iain MacLeod said it’s an “exciting time” for the show, and teased: "“These stories will propel us into the hour-long era with a bang and all the characteristic drama, humour, twists and intrigue that Corrie viewers have come to expect.
“We’ve got heart-stopping, high-stakes drama for Sarah, featuring a knife-edge showdown between Adam and his tormentor Lydia, which will leave you wondering which one’s the bad guy. All of this in one big serving per night. What’s not to love?
"It looks like Adam may be about to lose his liberty and his career but as Lydia’s vendetta continues is his life in danger too?"
