Coronation Street fans have rumbled a new romance for Ryan Connor - after Crystal and Alya's double rejection.
Alya sweetly told Ryan it couldn't work between the pair in scenes airing earlier this week, whilst Crystal has returned to Ibiza, telling Daisy that she wants nothing to do with him following the acid attack. Ryan has been struggling as of late and ran away from the hospital when he found out he needed a second skin graft, and this time on his face.
Daisy decided to send messages to Ryan, pretending to be from Crystal as she tried to help him through the tough time, with fans now convinced they've rumbled a new romance on the cards.
Some viewers believe this acid attack will spark a blossoming romance between Daisy and Ryan, despite her being engaged to Daniel.
"I'm convinced Daisy and Ryan will get together eventually, which could be a great story but right now it might just be survivors' guilt. We'll see #Corrie," one viewer wrote on social media.
A second added: "Am I the on my to think Daisy seems to be kinda getting far too attached to Ryan #Corrie," as a third shared: "Daisy is in love with Ryan money on it there in bed by Christmas #corrie."
"Daisy's gonna end up with Ryan, isn’t she? Gonna grow closer to him and further away from Daniel #Corrie," a fourth wrote.
Ryan told Alya he loved her earlier this week, but she turned him down, insisting it wasn't the right thing for them at the moment and privately expressed her fear that he was just saying that because of his own fear of being alone.
Actors Ryan Prescott and Sair Khan have opened up about how it will end for the pair.
"She is trying to be sensitive but she’s in shock, seeing someone she cares about so deeply in so much pain. It’s been really difficult for her and it’s been quite hard for her to hide her reaction," Sair said.
"For now, it is the end for Ryan and Alya because as soon as Ryan tells Alya that he loves her, Alya has to put up a boundary to protect herself from getting hurt again and from hurting him by giving him mixed signals. She feels she has to protect any thread of friendship that they could possibly have by taking a step back from his healing and letting other people take the lead on it."
