Coronation Street viewers were left double taking during Monday's episode of the ITV soap, following the arrival of a new character.
But the newcomer looked so much like an existing youngster on the show, that fans could have sworn they were the same person.
Faye Windass' estranged daughter Miley made her debut on the show, alongside her father Jackson as they met up with Faye's dad Tim.
Miley got to know her grandfather and asked about her mum, who she had not seen in almost six years it is thought.
But viewers were a bit distracted from the storyline, as they were stunned to see that young Miley looked the spit of another child on the show.
Viewers were convinced Miley looked the double of Corrie resident Hope Stape, the daughter of Fiz Brown, with some fans even admitting they thought she was Hope.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote of their confusion: "Miley? I thought that was Hope," as another wrote: "I did too…"
A third viewer said: "Isn’t Miley supposed to be 7 coming up 8? She looks a lot older and has a look of Hope."
Another fan joked: "It’s been so long since Tim has seen he’s granddaughter he’s mistaken Hope Stape doing her best Stephen accent for her." [sic]
Meanwhile a fifth tweet read: "Why does Miley look like the image of Hope," echoed by another comment that read: "This little girl looks like Hope."
Fans of the ITV soap may recall that Faye slept with fellow teen Jackson when she was 12 years old, and fell pregnant with his child.
After giving birth to a baby daughter, Miley, she was keen to place her up for adoption but Jackson's parents told her they wanted to care for the child.
Jackson and his family ended up leaving for Canada with Miley, something Faye and her dad Tim were unaware of until they'd already left.
Faye has not really been a part of her child's life, even after a surprise run-in with her and Jackson in 2017.
They bumped into each other at the hospital, and Faye got to spend some time with her young daughter - only for her then partner Seb Franklin to get jealous.
After Seb got into a fight with Jackson, he and his family went back to Canada and took Miley with them.
Jackson recently got into contact with Faye before showing up on the Street, but fans were confused to see the role had been recast.
Jackson is now played by Joseph Evans after taking over from Rhys Cadman who featured on the soap between 2015 and 2017.
Coronation Street viewers quickly took to Twitter to comment on Jackson's appearance and his supposed age last week.
Faye gave birth to Miley eight years ago and Jackson, who at 21 is the same age as Faye.
One confused viewer tweeted: "Bad recast… why does Jackson look so old compared to Faye #corrie," while another said: "Sorry but Jackson is supposed to be 20/1 and Miley is supposed to be around 7 #corrie."
Someone else said: "Why does Jackson look like a 30yo man...he def doesn't look the same age as faye #corrie," and another agreed: "The last Jackson had a really baby face I’m sure of it now he looks like he’s been working outside for twenty years #Corrie."
