COVID vaccinations are likely to become an annual shot in the US. The US Food and Drug Administration on Monday have proposed to make COVID jabs like an annual flu shot. This, reports say, is a simplified approach for future vaccination efforts and will help in a better vaccination coverage protecting adults and children against the mutating virus, the Omicron strain of which is currently dominant worldwide and accounts for majority of the COVID infections.
This means Americans would no longer have to keep track of how many shots they've received or how many months it's been since their last booster.
