Coronavirus infection rates have fallen across all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, data has revealed.
Rates across the region are lower than the national average, as infections have dropped by nearly 30 per cent in the last week.
Stockport continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, with a rate of 739.6 cases per 100,000 people as of week ending February 3.
The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, where the rate is 490.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 594.5 cases per 100,000 population.

The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 904.5 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 16,858 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on February 3.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 6562 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 28 per cent in the last week..
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on January 30, a total of 595 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is 81 fewer than the week before, a fall of 16%.
On Tuesday February 01, there were 30 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is one fewer than a week earlier.
Deaths
In the week ending February 3, a total of 89 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 11 fewer than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 876,311 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There has been a total of 8,620 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
Rochdale
Rochdale is an area where the trend is down. The latest infection rate here is 536.5 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 1200 cases recorded in Rochdale, which is 573 fewer than the previous week - a fall of 32 per cent.
Bolton
The trend is down in Bolton, where there were 1726 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 3, which is 601 fewer than the previous 7 days. That is down by 26 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Bolton is 598.8 cases per 100,000 people, which is lower than the national average.
Bury
Bury saw a total of 1122 cases in the week ending February 3, which is 489 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 30 per cent.
In Bury, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 588.3 cases per 100,000 people.
Oldham
Oldham, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 1165 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 3, which is 643 fewer than the previous 7 days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Oldham is now 490.3 cases per 100,000 people and is down by 36 per cent week-on-week.
Trafford
Trafford recorded 1447 coronavirus cases, which is 575 fewer than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Trafford is 609.1 cases per 100,000 people and that is down 28 per cent week-on-week.
Salford
There was a fall of 23 per cent in cases in Salford over the week ending February 3, and the infection rate is now 586.6 cases per 100,000 population.
Salford recorded 1541 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is 466 fewer than the previous week.
Tameside
There were 1456 positive tests over the last week in Tameside, which is 700 fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Tameside is down by 32 per cent and the latest infection rate is 641.1 cases per 100,000 people.
Stockport
In Stockport, there were 2176 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 3, which is 465 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Stockport has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate in Stockport is down slightly compared with the previous day and the week-on-week trend is down by 18 per cent.
Wigan
In Wigan, the latest infection rate is 611.1 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone down by 26 per cent.
A total of 2021 people tested positive for Covid in Wigan over the seven days ending on February 3, which is 718 fewer than the week before.
Manchester
In Manchester, the number of cases is down by 31 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 540.5 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 3004 positive Covid-19 tests in Manchester in the week ending February 3, which was 1332 fewer than the previous 7 days.
