Coronavirus infection rates continue to fall in all boroughs of Greater Manchester.
Greater Manchester’s rate as a whole now stands at 281.4 cases per 100,000 population and is lower than the national average which currently sits at 476.8 cases per 100,000.
Trafford continues to have the highest infection rate within Greater Manchester, with 323.7 cases per 100,000 in the week ending February 15.

The latest data from the UK Health Security Agency found that 7,979 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the same seven-day period.
The weekly total is down by 4,392 cases compared to the previous week - showing a decline of 36 per cent.
The infection rate is lower than the national average in all ten local authorities in Greater Manchester.
Hospital admissions
In the week ending February 13, a total of 425 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19.
The figures are 113 fewer than the week before, showing a fall of 36 per cent.
On Tuesday, February 15, there were 27 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals - two more than a week earlier.
Deaths
In the week ending February 15, 38 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester.
These figures are 30 fewer than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 892,372 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There have been a total of 8,723 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
Bury
The number of cases in Bury are down by 40 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 247.5 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 472 positive Covid-19 tests in Bury in the week ending February 15, which was 315 fewer than in the previous seven days.
Bolton
Bolton has the lowest infection rate in the region.
There were 668 positive Covid-19 tests in the borough in the week ending February 15. These figures are 604 fewer than in the previous week.
The infection rate in Bolton sits at 231.7 cases per 100,000 people - down by 47 per cent week-on-week.
Trafford
In Trafford, there were 769 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 15, which is 392 fewer than the previous seven days.
While Trafford has the highest infection rate in the region, the rate is down slightly with the previous day.
The week-on-week trend in the borough is down by 34 per cent.
Salford
The latest infection rate in Salford is 305.3 cases per 100,000 people while the number of cases has gone down by 30 per cent.
A total of 802 people tested positive for Covid in Salford over the seven days ending on February 15, which is 348 fewer than the week before.
Tameside
There were a total of 630 cases in the week ending February 15, which is 379 fewer than in the previous week and showing a fall of 38 per cent.
In Tameside, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 277.4 cases per 100,000 people.
Wigan
The trend is down in Wigan where there were 925 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 15.
These figures are 469 fewer than the previous seven days and down by 34 per cent.
The latest infection rate in Wigan is 279.7 cases per 100,000 people, which is lower than the national average.
Rochdale
There was a fall of 25 per cent in cases across Rochdale in the week ending February 15.
The borough’s infection rate currently stands at 270.5 cases per 100,000 population.
Rochdale recorded 605 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period - 204 fewer than the previous week.
Oldham
The infection rate in Oldham is 234.4 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 557 cases recorded in Oldham, which is 285 fewer than the previous week - a fall of 34 per cent.
Stockport
There were 946 positive tests over the last week in Stockport, which is 607 fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Stockport is down by 39 per cent.
Stockport’s infection rate is 321.6 cases per 100,000 people.
Manchester
Manchester recorded 1,605 coronavirus cases, which is 789 fewer than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Manchester is 288.8 cases per 100,000 people which shows a decrease of 33 per cent week-on-week.
