Coronation Street actress Channique Sterling-Brown has said there is a “systemic issue” in maternity care in the UK as her character faces serious complications during the birth of her baby.
Viewers will see her character, the young solicitor Diana “Dee-Dee” Bailey, go into labour in next week’s episode which airs on March 31, where her life is put at risk.
