Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson has exited the ITV soap - and is planning the "next chapter".
The actress has departed her role as former sex worker Nicky Wheatley in the ITV programme after the current storyline with Daniel Osbourne has come to an end, as she opened up about her future in the wake of her exit.
Kimberley has played Nicky on two occasions but she has already wrapped on her final scenes and they have aired for the show's loyal fanbase. She said she "owed so much" to the soap and loved "the people, the vibe and the street".
"Okkkk let’s get this answered because it’s heavy in the inbox. So it’s not a case of leaving Corrie. It’s more that I came back for a storyline which for now has been completed," she said in a question and answer session with fans on social media, "If you watched Friday’s eps you will see there was no big leaving scene so you never know for the future but what I do know is this...
"I owe so much to Corrie and I absolutely love it there - the people - the vibe - the street."
She added: "Life happens in chapters - and I am looking forward to the next part."
Kimberley recently revealed her obsession with the Cobbles comes from her dad.
"The Corrie obsession came from my dad. Of all the memories that exist in my brain of my dad and me, Corrie is one of the most stand-out ones. He was a massive, massive fan, obsessed with it," she said, "You couldn’t ring the house phone when it was on and the kettle was full so he could have a brew during the breaks. He loved Jack and Vera. I loved Bet Lynch."
The actress, 35, also confessed she manifested her own return to the soap with a vision board, adding: "This is not for everyone, but I like vision boards, things that I want in my life I want to see in front of me on the daily - it gives me direction and purpose.
"On the day of getting the call about Corrie, I’d just done a vision board of the 10 things that I want in my life in general, and Corrie went back on there, and I pinned it up and I wrote the reason. I wrote what it would feel like, how I got the call, what would happen next and who I told first - this is all part of something I read online."
