Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan has announced she is pregnant with her first child with her husband Dan Acraman.
The soap star took to Instagram on Thursday afternoon to share the good news with her followers, as she stunned in a sparkly silver dress. Rebecca - who played Lydia Chambers on the ITV soap, prior to her departure earlier this year - told her followers that she "can't wait" for her baby's arrival next year.
She wrote: "I thought this year couldn’t get any better after marrying the man of my dreams, but it turns out it can… Can’t wait to become a mummy in 2023 x"
Rebecca, 31, who shot to fame on the Channel 4 comedy series Shameless as Debbie Gallagher, cradled her growing bump in the stunning snaps. The soap star tied the knot with hubby Dan in an intimate ceremony in September 2022.
Her friends and fans flooded the comments section to gush over her announcement, congratulating her and her husband. Among them was actor Thomas Turgoose, who is best known for his role in the This Is England TV series.
"Oiiiiiiiii mate that’s amazing! Strap in life’s about to change," he penned alongside a red heart emoji. Corrie co-star Kimberly Hart-Simpson wrote: "Yessssss," with a string of red heart emojis.
Harriet Bibby, who plays Summer Spellman in the ITV soap, said: "Glowing girl!!! So happy and excited for you!" While co-star Jack James Ryan commented: "I’m gonna be an uncle."
This comes after Rebecca and Dan tied the knot at the end of the summer, after previously postponing their big day due to Covid-19. "Second time trying to plan my wedding!" she said at the time. "The first one was cancelled due to Covid so we are back to square one!"
Rebecca continued: "No date, no venue and still wanting to get married this year. I wish I was an organised person."
