Coronation Street actor Alex Bain was left using a wheelchair after being rushed to hospital.
The ITV soap star shared pictures of him sat in a wheelchair as he attended Blackburn Hospital A&E department, on his Instagram Stories. He joked that it was "not where he expected to end up" that evening as he went on to reassure fans that he would be ok.
He added: "Don’t worry guys it’s just my ankle." Alex later added another picture showing his injury being supported by a medical boot.

The 20-year-old, who has played Simon Barlow since he was a child, later explained that he was due to fly from Manchester Airport as he went on holiday. He wrote: "Got a fancy new set of wheels! Thank you to the helpful people at Manchester Airport."
He shared more Instagram stories that showed he had arrived in Frankfurt, after writing: "Bon voyage Great Britain! I will miss you!"
The actor recently hit back at online trolls after they criticised his parenting skills. Alex became a dad to Lydia-Rose when he was aged just 17.
He took to his Instagram Stories to vent as he wrote: "Anyone don't like me and the way I've raised my daughter then they can pop up and DM me and we can talk about it. Honestly had enough."
