Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has been opening up all about her journey to motherhood as her due date fast approaches.
The Bethany Platt actress, 27, is expecting her first baby with footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson.
Last weekend, Lucy and Ryan invited 100 guests - including many of Lucy's Corrie pals - to the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool to throw one epic baby shower.
The bash, which Lucy has described as 'wild' and a night to remember, went on till nearly 2am in the morning.
Guests that included Helen Flanagan [Rosie Webster], Sally Ann Matthews [Jenny Bradley], Colson Smith [Craig Tinker] and Katie McGlynn [Sinead Tinker] were treated to bottomless Prosecco cart and a raucous DJ set.
As the party carried on into the night, Lucy said the party goers even started a mosh pit. The mother-to-be says she did a quick costume change into her pyjamas so that she could hit the dancefloor with them.
“Guest arrivals were at 4pm and there was a prosecco cart,” Lucy revealed in OK magazine. “And then when Ryan turned up around 6.30pm with the boys, he put money behind the bar – so everyone went a bit wild like they do at weddings when there’s a free bar! There were a lot of sore heads the next day.”
“I was basically dancing around like I was in a mosh pit or something,” she laughs. “I was the first one up and I was there until the end. I went upstairs at 10.30pm to put PJs on, but came back for more dancing until 1.30am.”
The lavish party room was decorated with pink and blue balloons with roses on each table in the same colours.
Lucy and Ryan did not out the gender of the baby, who is due February 2nd, till after the bash.
The pair have since discovered they are expecting a baby boy.
Soap star Lucy said she's so excited she's already picked the perfect name for the tot.
At her most recent scan, Lucy was handed an envelope disclosing the gender of her baby - after weeks of feverish discussions with her family members.
The parents opened the confirmation letter in front of a small circle of friends and family at home.
Lucy said she had a 'strong feeling' she was having a boy but Ryan, a midfielder for Preston North End, was convinced it was a girl.
"The night before I said to Ryan, ‘I bet you £500 it’s going to be a boy.’ He still hasn’t sent me the money!” joked Lucy.
Lucy said that she and Ryan have now chosen a unique name for their baby that incorporates both of their tastes.
The mum-to-be said she prefers 'quirky' names, whereas Ryan wanted something more 'traditional' so the pair have had to compromise to find that right balance.
And the pair are already looking into the future...
“If we ever had a girl, we can’t call her the name we had because both of the names are like the same but with a different first letter. It would sound like we’ve got two dogs!” joked Lucy.
