Coronation Street's Charles Dale admits he's 'skint' and 'getting divorced'

Coronation Street star Charles Dale has been supported as he admitted he is going through a tough time.

The actor, who played Dennis Stringer on the ITV soap and Big Mac on Casualty, celebrated his 60th birthday as he shared the sad news that he is going through a divorce. He also admitted to being "skint" and "unemployed".

The soap star shared an image of himself on a rooftop garden in Tenby, Wales which overlooked the sea, to Twitter. He wrote: "So, 60 today (WTF), unemployed, skint, going through a divorce (fine but tricky), but thanks to the generosity of my family and friends, feeling not too shoddy. In fact, one might say, downright chipper! Can’t think why, can you?"
