Coronation Street star Alex Bain showed off a new look as he enjoyed a date night with his girlfriend.
The star, known for his role on the cobbles as Simon Barlow, enjoyed a cosy meal at the Botanist with his partner Mollie Lockwood. But looking seemingly different from his character, Alex was pictured sporting a moustache, soul patch and stubble on his chin.
As he posed for the snap with his arms folded, the 20-year-old was smiling as he wrote: "Hanging lamb kofta! Much cool!" He then shared with his 22,000 followers a picture of the cocktails, writing: "What a way to end a lovely meal with my girl!"

But the evening took an unexpected turn for the Corrie star, as a birthday cake appeared at his table, five months before his birthday, the Mirror reports.
Alex has won a number of awards for his portrayal of Simon, a role he has played since he was eight. The actor became a dad when he was 17 years old and told Inside Soap that he "loves fatherhood".
He welcomed his daughter Lydia-Rose in 2018 with his ex-girlfriend Levi Selby, who was 16 when she gave birth. Alex has since found love with girlfriend Mollie Lockwood and has posted many loved up snaps of the pair on his Instagram.
The star previously gave an update on an injury from hospital. Taking to social media, he shared pictures of himself sat in a wheelchair as he attended Blackburn Hospital A&E department two weeks ago before he jetted off on holiday. He later showed his ankle being supported by a medical boot.
