Rob Mallard joined Coronation Street in 2016 playing Ken Barlow's fresh-faced son, Daniel Osbourne.
Daniel has faced his fair share of love, loss and heartbreak on the cobbles, most notably when he lost the love of his life Sinead Tinker to cancer in a heartbreaking storyline.
He's now trying to patch things up with on/off girlfriend Daisy Midgely - while dealing with her deranged stalker Justin Rutherford.
Off-screen, actor Rob's love life is every bit as dramatic with a co-star romance, fated love and new beau rumours.
Here's the lowdown on what we know.
Relationship with co-star
After making his debut in Corrie in 2016, Rob, 30, started dating Daniel Brocklebank, 43, who plays Vicar Billy Mayhew.
The couple were together for a short spell in 2017 with Rob paying tribute to his co-star when he bagged a British Soap Award.
He said in his acceptance speech: "Even though this is fantastic, Dan, you’re the best thing I’ve ever taken home."
Sadly, the couple have since split up due to the pressures of working together, but are still said to be pals.
A source told The Sun's TV column: "It was a lot of pressure for both of them to be working on the same show and going out—in the end something had to give.
"They decided to part ways a couple of weeks ago but they’re still great friends and hope to remain that way."
Fated love
After splitting up with Dan, Rob found love with Ben Perryman.
The actor confirmed their romance when he shared a pic of the pair on Instagram with the caption: "Some people walk into your life at the right time, some people exit your life at the right time, we’re all here for a purpose and that’s to find happiness. You decide what your happiness is."
Fans were delighted with the news, with one gushing: ""Congratulations to you both @benperryman so happy for you!"
Ben also praised Rob in a social media post after the pair rocked up at the Coronation Street Christmas party.
He said: "If anyone could teach me how to spell happy all over again it would be him.
"Everything about you is just perfect. Robert Mallard you’re my hero."
However, the couple split in 2019, confirming in January 2020 their relationship had reached its "natural end."
A representative for the actor confirmed the news to The Sun, saying: "Rob and Ben are no longer together.
"It was a mutual separation. Both would appreciate privacy in this personal matter."
New romance rumours
Rob has recently grown close to modelling agent Matthew Martin, according to reports.
The pair have been spotted in sweet Instagram snaps together, alongside Matthew's mum and sister, who visited the Coronation Street set tour before Christmas.
A source told The Sun: "Rob seems loved up and it’s so nice to see. It’s like he’s completely smitten.
"Everyone is hoping this relationship is The One because Matthew’s a really nice bloke.
"Rob fits right in with his family and the cast who have met Matthew really like him."
However, neither Rob or Matthew have confirmed they are in a relationship.
