Things will get worse for Daisy on Coronation Street when her mother's link to her stalker Justin is exposed.
Daisy - played by Charlotte Jordan - has been struggling with Justin's obsession with her. What started off as a friendly conversation soon turned sinister, and he has now been stalking her for weeks and even claimed they were dating at one point.
However, things are set to get even worse when Daisy meets up for lunch with her mum, who is desperately trying to repair her relationship with her daughter ahead of Daisy's wedding to Daniel that will take place later this year.
As they meet for lunch, Daisy is dealt a shock blow when she sees Justin sat down alongside her mother, who then reveals that he is her new boyfriend, whilst Daisy looks on horrified and fears Justin will haunt her for the rest of her life.
Actress Charlotte confirmed the whole ordeal will change Daisy forever.
"She feels totally isolated and is feeling totally helpless," she said, "It was really important to do this storyline and it is clever to do it with a character like Daisy, because she's a divisive character.
"You either love her or hate her, there's not really an in-between and all the things that make her Daisy, she's extra, she's flamboyant, she's camp, she's big, and you will slowly see she starts to crumble."
She added: "She gets smaller and smaller and I really don't think she will ever be the same again."
It comes after sources confirmed to The Mirror that Daisy will be targeted in an acid attack.
One said: "In the weeks to come, Justin’s fixation with Daisy will build and build until finally he confronts her in the Rovers – and throws acid at her. It is a truly horrifying scene that will leave viewers stunned.
"Bosses felt it was an important topic to highlight, but great care has been taken to make sure it’s handled sensitively. They’ve been working with a number of research partners who have offered their expertise."
