Coronation Street fans spot familiar face as new character 'rises from the dead'

Soap fans spotted a familiar face on Coronation Street tonight as a new character was introduced.

Phill and Fiz were shell-shocked after the arrival of his ex wife, Camilla, just days before their wedding. But fans of the ITV soaps joked that the character had "risen from the dead" as the actress, Louise Marwood, previously starred in Emmerdale as Chrissie White.

She appeared on Emmerdale from 2014 to 2018 when she was written out in a car crash. Fans took to Twitter to share where they recognised her from.

William said: "Chrissie White looks good after rising from the dead! #Corrie #CorronationStreet #Emmerdale." Pam said: "Phill's ex wife Camilla...no that's Chrissie White with red hair #Corrie." Another user said: "Well Philip was punching way above before with Chrissy White as a wife #Corrie."

In tonight's Coronation Street, Camilla introduced herself to Fiz after bumping into her and Phill on the cobbles. Fiz was taken aback by the surprise visitor but Phill assured Fiz that he can't wait to marry her and that his ex poses no threat to them.

Elsewhere, Fiz's bridesmaids dresses were ruined when someone spilt red wine all over them. Phill's mum, Mimi, tried her best to blame the dog.

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub
