Coronation Street fans have predicted how Imran Habeeb could exit the ITV soap as the lawyer defended Abi Franklin in court on Wednesday evening.
Abi (Sally Carman) headed to court as she fought to win custody of her child, with Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) in the courtroom to show her support.
In court, the local authority solicitor listed a devastating host of reasons proving Abi to be an unfit mother and why Alfie should be taken into care.
Imran (Charlie De Melo) then pleaded Abi’s case, doing everything in his power to convince the judge that Abi has changed and is now clean.
But Toyah later suggested to Imran that he’s done all he can for Abi and it’s time to step back and concentrate on Elsie’s adoption hearing - prompting many fans to predict she could even be on to his case.
Taking to Twitter, one fan asked: “Is Toyah starting to work it out?”
Another wrote: “Oh! Has the penny finally dropped for Toyah there????!!!!!!”
But in later scenes, viewers watched as Abi turned on Imran, banning him from seeing Alfie.
Her decision resulted in the lawyer making a house call to her, saying he’ll do whatever it takes, even if it means putting his name on the birth certificate.
Standing outside the door before Abi let him into her flat, Imran shouted: “You cannot stop me from seeing my son!”
The exclamation left several fans wondering if this or a similar outburst could prove to be Imran’s undoing, outing the secret to Toyah and potential causing his exit from Weatherfield.
One ITV viewer tweeted: “Nice one Imran - shout out that she can't stop you from seeing your son - cue someone conveniently overhearing it.”
Another wrote: “With these two screaming ITS HIS SON! I reckon some mosey begger will overhear.”
A third posted: “God those walls thin I'm sure the neighbours can hear Imran and Abi shouting.”
A fellow fan wrote: “Imran’s gonna come forward and lose everything including Toyah and his job.”

ITV spoilers have revealed that by Friday, Imran tells a pleased Toyah that he has set Abi up with a solicitor free of charge before secretly heading off with Abi to register Alfie’s birth.
When Toyah bumps into Abi carrying a package, which contains Alfie’s paperwork, and sees her acting strangely she assumes she is back on drugs and warns her estranged husband Kevin Webster.
Kevin later hunts for the package whilst Abi is making tea and ends up discovering the birth certificate which states that Imran is the father. How will Kevin react to the news?
Later that day as Toyah and Imran sit down with the social worker to discuss adopting Elsie, it's been teased that Imran’s world could be about to implode - but will it be thanks to Kevin?
