Coronation Street fans were left panicking for Kevin Webster after tuning into Wednesday night's episode.
The latest instalment of the ITV soap saw Imran Habeeb die after being involved in a car crash with his wife Toyah (Georgia Taylor).
The newlyweds were driving home from the police station after Imran (Charlie De Melo) convinced Toyah not to tell the authorities about Abi Webster's plan to flee the country with baby Alfie.
However, somewhere along the way, the tragic accident occurred and saw the couple trapped in the car under scaffolding.
Imran managed to escape the vehicle and dragged Toyah to safety as he waited for an ambulance to arrive.
As paramedics loaded Toyah into the back of an ambulance, Imran insisted on going with her but collapsed as he tried to get into the vehicle.
Paramedics were seen trying to revive him and did so for around 15 minutes, but it was later confirmed that Imran had passed away.
Police immediately began questioning Toyah about the accident, but she claimed to not remember how it had happened.
Her cousin Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) was present for the interview and blurted out that Kevin could be to blame as he had offered to fix Toyah's car earlier that day.
Meanwhile, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) was seen reassuring Abi (Sally Carman) that all he had done was tamper with Toyah's ignition so that she couldn't take baby Alfie out for the day.
However, the police headed to Kevin's straight away where they informed him and Abi that Imran had died and asked them to come to the station to answer some questions.
Corrie fans started to think the worst and took to Twitter to comment.
"Oh no…. Kevin is going to be blamed for this, but I don’t think that he had anything to do with this #Corrie," one person said.
Another tweeted: "Oh dear Kevin in trouble #Corrie," while a third predicted that he will do a "long stretch".
Someone else posted: "I’m annoyed we never got to see the actual crash. We won’t know if it’s toyahs fault or a fault with the car.. the blame will go on Kevin #Corrie."
And another added: "Kevin’s going dowwwwnnnnnnn! #corrie."
Other viewers think that it was actually Toyah who caused the crash and did so on purpose.
"Either Toyah was angry with Imran and crashed the car on purpose, or somebody other than Kevin messed with the car. #Corrie," one person tweeted.
Coronation Street airs at 7.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub every evening this week.
