Coronation Street co-stars Sally Carman and Joe Duttine have tied the knot after four years of dating. The joyful news comes after the pair were forced to delay their wedding, which was planned for December 2021, due to the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
But on Friday, July 15, the wait was finally over as 41-year-old Sally posted a beautiful picture from their wedding to Instagram of the newlyweds embracing in a kiss.
Looking dreamy in a long-sleeved blue periwinkle gown, the actress captioned the snap, which saw 52-year-old Joe wearing a flat cap and grey-blue suit accessorised with flowers in his lapel, with: "We did", followed by a yellow love heart emoji.

Sally and Joe, who play characters Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe, met on the set of Coronation Street when Sally joined the cast in 2017. A year later, their romance was speculated and soon confirmed on the social media picture platform Instagram. They moved in together in 2019 and in March 2020, at the start of lockdown, they got engaged.
They had originally planned for a Christmas wedding in 2021, with Sally telling the The Mirror: "I’m obsessed with Christmas, so when Joe said: ‘What’s your favourite time, when would you most like to do it?’ it had to be Christmas. We’re going to have the wedding late afternoon so it will be dark and it will be lit by rows of Christmas trees and twinkly lights; I can’t wait."
These plans were scuppered by the pandemic but that didn't ruin their stunning summer wedding day. Posting the pair's latest relationship development, the couple look completely loved up as they pose in front of a circle of balloons, with glasses of bubbly in their hands.
And before long, famous friends and family were rushing into the soap star's comments to offer their congratulations.
Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who played Nicky Wheatley on the ITV soap, commented: "Oh my loooooooord Yess! Happy ever after."
Another co-star, Samia Longchambon - aka Maria Connor - also sent her well wishes, writing: "Omg look at you two. Congrats you gorgeous humans."
Waterloo Road actress Rebecca Ryan added: "Congratulations!! So so happy for you both!! You look incredible Sally xxxx".
Meanwhile Doctor Who's Russel T Davies commented: "Ahh congratulations xxx"
