Coronation Street has casted a former CBeebies star as the soap creates a harrowing grooming storyline.

Actress Cait Fitton has taken up the role of Lauren Bolton, who will play a significant part in the scary plot that sees Max Platt being groomed by a secret gang.

Cait joins new castmates Paddy Bever, Liam McCheyne and James Craven as she stepped out on the cobbles to treat ITV viewers to the latest instalment in the dark storyline for teenager Max.
