Coronation Street cast former Hollyoaks actor as new Weatherfield Gazette reporter

Sarah Lawrence Hollyoaks Daniel Osbourne Doctors

Coronation Street will welcome a former Hollyoaks star onto the Cobbles next week, it has been confirmed.

Sarah Lawrence, who played the role of Darlene Taylor between 2003 and 2006 on the Channel 4 soap, is heading over to ITV now.

Sarah will be playing a character called Viyona Lahiri, who is a reporter working for the Weatherfield Gazette, in scenes set to air next week.
