Coronation Street is lining up a twist next week, as one resident's killer secret comes under threat when the past returns to haunt them.
A change in Weatherfield leads to the discovery of a body in upcoming scenes, and one resident is forced to attempt to move the corpse before it gets found.
It seems killer Gary Windass (Mikey North) is unlucky though as his plan is thwarted, and recent pictures of the cast filming on location teased the body would be dug up.
In new first-look images, teen Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) breaks down in tears as she seemingly attends the funeral and burial of her father Rick Neelan.
The villain's body is set to be uncovered on a building site, years after he was murdered by Gary - who is currently caring for young Kelly.
Gary had killed loan shark Rick in self-defence, as he was planning on killing him and burying him in the woods.
The character fought for his life and ended up murdering his nemesis before burying him in the grave he'd been forced to dig for himself.
Of course the body almost came to light a year ago, so Gary was forced to move it to a new location - and that site is confirmed in scenes to air on the ITV soap next week.
He's horrified when he finds out from partner Maria that the site in question will house the local football team, and he makes a risky decision.
Gary heads to the site and attempts to break-in and move the body, only to be stopped by a security guard.
It seems initially Gary is not found out, as he's snapped with Kelly at the funeral tipped to air in a few weeks.
That said, spoilers for next week suggest he's confronted by Kelly's mother Laura, who accuses him of killing Rick.
With him under pressure, Gary could be forced to admit the truth - but will he silence Laura to keep her from spilling the beans if she does find out?
Either way, the long-running plot has to reach an end at some point, with it now known the body will indeed be found.
This has to be the beginning of the end for Gary, and surely seals his fate on the ITV soap - but then again this is soap land!
