A popular Coronation Street actress was caught out swearing in surprise after her co-star won a National Television Award last night.
AJ Adudu and Emma Willis took to the stage last night and announced the nominees for the Best Rising Star gong.
Paddy Bever, who plays Max on the popular Virgin Media One soap, was up against Kit Connor and Joe Locke from Netflix series Heartstopper as well as Charithra Chandran from beloved series Bridgerton.

But much to the surprise of the Coronation Street cast, the 19-year-old was crowned the winner of the highly sought-after award as he rushed up stage with shock painted across his face, Daily Star reports.
In an emotional speech the TV star confessed he “hadn’t prepared a speech” because he didn’t think he would be able to beat the other talented stars nominated for the award.
The teenager went on to reveal that his role as David Platt’s stepson Max Turner is his “first ever acting job” as he thanked the cast, crew, family and friends for helping him get so far.
When the winner was announced, his co-star Millie Gibson, who played Kelly, was caught swearing live on camera.
Fans of the Virgin Media soap soon flooded to Twitter to share their support for the young actor’s success online.
One user penned: “@itvcorrie well deserved, seems such a lovely lad #NTA”.
Another added: “Aww! He thanked God! That’s cute. Bet he’s the first in a long time to do that. [prayer emoji] #ntas #NTAAwards #NTA.”
But it’s fair to say not everyone agreed with the results, as some viewers also shared their disappointment that no one from the series Heartstopper took home an award.
One user penned: “Creepy Max got a #NTA WTF” as another agreed: “#Heartstopper was robbed! [crying emoji, angry emoji] #nta.”
A third chimed in with: “Omg! I’m sorry but @kit_connor @joelocke03 and #Heartstopper have been completely robbed #NTA #NTAAwards. I’m now turning off to watch #heartstopper for the 847365995737 time.”
Another ITV viewer added: “Okay there is no way that NEITHER Kit NOR Joe won the Rising Star #NTA #Heartstopper.”
