March 6 Update: On Wednesday, President Donald Trump posted on social media regarding the U.S. Senate runoff between John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton: “I will be making my Endorsement soon, and will be asking the candidate that I don’t Endorse to immediately DROP OUT OF THE RACE!” As of Friday morning, no endorsement had been made. Meanwhile, downballot, Congressman Tony Gonzales dropped his reelection bid under pressure from U.S. House leadership.

Big John refused to go quietly into that bad night.
