Cornwall has been revealed as the UK destination most searched for on Google when it comes to holidays.
The south west county only lost out to Turkey on a global stage, underlining quite how big a draw it has become.
It's clear why Cornwall has become so loved by the British public.
Miles and miles of dramatic rocky coastline make way for sweeping sandy beach, perfect for tackling the large Atlantic surf that swells up along its shores.
The county is also home to dozens of cosy pubs, fish and chip shops, and high-end restaurants, including Rick Stein's Cafe and Appleton's Bar & Restaurant.
Cornwall seems to have benefited from a boom in staycations over the past few years, which saw British hotels, B&Bs and holiday parks record a 20%-30% rise in enquiries in October half-term.
Turkey holidays however topped the list in the Google research, which looked at the top searched for destinations as part of its Year in Search report.
The sunny hotspot has never been more popular with Brits, whether it's for the budget-friendly resorts, hot and sunny weather, or the delicious food.
The country's tourist board say it is on track to welcome three million visitors from the UK in 2022 - the highest number since records began.
In the first nine months of 2022, Turkey received 2.8 million UK visitors, a full 0.24million more than the same time period in 2019.
With 67 million people currently living in the UK, 4.5% of the population may have visited Turkey by the end of the year, if each person only went once.
It is perhaps no surprise that the ever-popular Benidorm on the southern Spanish coast was third on the list.
The resort remains the ultimate destination for Brits looking for a cheap and cheerful break with lashings of alcohol and readily-available English breakfasts.
