A “pathological liar” who nearly “destroyed the lives” of a senior Garda, solicitors and social workers after making serious false allegations against them which often included rape and sexual assault has been jailed for four years.
Sonya Egan (43) of The Lawn, Lios Cara, Killeens, Co Cork was not present at Cork Circuit Criminal Court for her sentencing hearing for a “dizzying number of allegations.”
She is on hunger strike in Limerick Prison where she is currently serving a two year sentence for harassment of a man and a woman. She waived her right to appear in court.
