Officials made the decision to cancel a flight at Cork Airport yesterday evening due to a medical emergency onboard.
It is believed the incident involved an elderly man on a flight to Lanzarote, however officials are limiting the amount of information to be released publicly for now, CorkBeo reports.
Cork Airport Police, the National Ambulance Service and the Fire Service all attended the medical emergency on Tuesday evening.

Aer Lingus flight EI878 to Lanzarote was cancelled as a result of the incident.
Barry Holland, Cork Airport Communications Manager, told CorkBeo: "Aer Lingus flight EI878 to Lanzarote has been cancelled. Cork Airport Police and Fire Service personnel, as well as members of the HSE National Ambulance Service, attended a medical emergency at the airport earlier this evening."
He added that no further details could be released out of respect to the man and his family members.
Strikes involving French air traffic controllers also led to another cancelled flight out of Cork Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2.35pm flight from Cork to Carcassonne was told it couldn't take off after the latest round of strikes from French air traffic controllers (ATC), with airline officials confirming future cancellations are imminent due to the industrial action.
Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary revealed that 400 flights in total were cancelled as a result of the strikes and has called on any overhead non-domestic flights to be permitted, even in the event of new strikes in the future.
