Cordarrelle Patterson changes profile picture to DeAndre Hopkins

The Arizona Cardinals shocked the NFL on Friday when they released All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. While the writing was on the wall regarding Hopkins’ future in Arizona, the fact that he was outright released prior to June 1 is something few saw coming.

Hopkins will be highly sought after as a free agent and it didn’t take long for Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson to get back to work recruiting. Patterson changed his profile picture on Twitter to a photo of Hopkins.

Hopkins, 30, has been an absolute stud for the majority of his pro career. Originally selected by the Texans in the first round of the 2013 draft, Hopkins has racked up 853 catches, 11,298 receiving yards and 71 touchdowns over 10 seasons.

Atlanta currently has over $10 million in cap space and a need for a quality No. 2 wide receiver. Here’s how Falcons fans reacted to Patterson’s latest free-agent pitch on Twitter.
