Cops and paramedics called to 'siege' in Scots town over concern for person

Police are currently dealing with a siege incident in Falkirk.

Officers from Police Scotland and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service raced to a block of flats on Falkirk Road in the Bonnybridge area of the town.

The alarm was raise at around 12pm this afternoon following reports a person had barricaded themselves within a priority.

A number of cops and an ambulance, along with an incident response unit, are currently at the scene of the incident.

Locals reported seeing mercy crews race to the address with officers running towards the flats earlier today.

It’s not known if anyone has been injured at this time or the nature of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Falkirk Live: "Officers are currently in attendance at Falkirk Road in Bonnybridge after reports of concern for a person."
