A missing teenage girl’s body was found concealed by branches, a murder trial heard today. Amber Gibson was discovered by an officer near a burn of a park in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, on November 28 2021.
The 16-year-old was stated to have been unclothed and covered by branches allegedly cut from a heavy tree. Jurors heard clothes were found on a bush near the body. Amber’s brother Connor Gibson, 20, is on trial at the High Court in Glasgow charged with the sexual assault and murder of Amber at Cadzow Glen on Friday November 26, 2021.
Co-accused Stephen Corrigan, 45, is charged with breach of the peace and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. He had lodged a special defence of alibi.
