A police officer is believed to have been attacked before a man sped off in a car - sparking a chase. Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a 'disturbance' at a property on Mainwood Road in Timperley, Trafford, at around noon on Wednesday (June 7).
A man, the force says, is understood to have attacked an officer, as well as a marked GMP car. Another person's car was also targeted.
The man then sped off in another vehicle. Cops chased him, before stopping him on Simonsway in neighbouring Wythenshawe.

A 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault; attempted section 18 assault; and dangerous driving. He remained in custody for questioning on Thursday (June 8).
Images at the scene showed police cars surrounding a vehicle. Officers were then seen in conversation as the cordon was cleared.
A full GMP statement read: "Shortly before 12pm on yesterday (Wednesday 7 June), Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a disturbance at Mainwood Road, Timperley. It's believed that a man attacked a police officer and a marked police car as well as a member of the public's car, before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
"Specialist trained police drivers engaged in a pursuit, and the vehicle was safely stopped on Simonsway, Wythenshawe. A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault, attempted section 18 assault, and dangerous driving. He remains in custody for questioning."
