Sean McVay often says Cooper Kupp embodies exactly the type of player the Rams want on their team. And from his leadership to his work ethic, it’s not hard to see why.
On Tuesday, the Rams recognized Kupp by nominating him for the 2022 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, an honor given to the NFL player who best exemplifies “on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition.”
Last year, the Rams nominated Jordan Fuller for the award but it was Patriots special teams ace Matthew Slater who won it. Kupp is one of the most well-liked and respected players in the league, so his nomination for this award is hardly a surprise.
The list of 32 nominees will be trimmed down to eight finalists, with the winner being announced in February at the NFL Honors show. Below are the 32 players who were nominated, one from each team.
