Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp had to soak in the reality that he’ll soon have Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner trying to tackle him again this fall.
When the Rams signed longtime rival Wagner last offseason, the team was fresh off a Super Bowl victory and were hoping to add the veteran linebacker for a robust title defense.
Kupp excitedly supported the signing when it happened.
Well, that wasn’t the case, as the Rams faltered due to injuries and other problems last season. Los Angeles finished 5-12 and had to trade cornerback Jalen Ramsey and cut Wagner to help with cap space issues.
Well, Wagner re-signed with Seattle over the weekend, and Kupp couldn’t help but update his feelings on Wagner’s status.

The Seahawks are trending in the right direction, while the Rams are trying to rebound from a majorly disappointing 2022.
Wagner and Kupp will surely have some fun days ahead competing with each other in the NFC West, but the linebacker’s quick change of scenery just underscores why the NFL really does mean “not for long.”
